To thoroughly implement the requirements set forth in the Action Plan for the Construction of Grassroots "Five-Good" Working Committees for the Care of the Next Generation issued by the Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation of the Ministry of Education, Sun Yanchen, Deputy Secretary-General of the University Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, was invited to Hainan International College on October 19. He delivered a training session on the development of the "Five-Good" Working Committee for members of the College’s Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation and held discussions with teachers and students. Ma Rui, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch of the College, Luo Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch and Vice Dean, and Guan Feng, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Youth League Branch, attended the training.

At the training session, Ma Rui reported on the progress of the construction of the College’s "Five-Good" Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, focusing on the work progress and phased achievements in improving the organizational structure, refining institutional mechanisms and building activity carriers. Sun Yanchen interpreted the policy requirements for the establishment of the "Five-Good" Working Committee. Combining the practical work of the university’s Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, he put forward specific work suggestions. He also systematically explained the filling requirements for the "Five-Good" construction platform regarding platform operation, indicator interpretation and document standardization, offering clear guidance for the College to standardize and advance the establishment work in the next stage.

After the training, Sun Yanchen attended a forum for teachers and students of the College. He systematically introduced the spiritual pedigree of Northeast Forestry University to student representatives, and mainly reviewed the inspiring story of faculty and students seizing opportunities and building the "211 Project" platform with self-raised funds throughout the university’s development. He encouraged young students to inherit the spirit of Northeast Forestry University and forge ahead. Meanwhile, on how to be competent student cadres, he advised young students to establish integrity through morality, consolidate foundations through learning, unite people through service, promote implementation via coordination and build bridges through communication. They should strive to become reliable peers trusted by fellow students, and honor the youthful pledge — Today you take pride in NEFU, and tomorrow NEFU will take pride in you — with practical actions.

Hainan International College will continue to promote the construction of the grassroots "Five-Good" Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation. Relying on carriers such as teacher-student forums and thematic education, the College will give full play to the strengths of veteran faculty and staff to support the growth of young teachers and students.
